Mevys Keratin Treatment Lemon-Lime 4 Oz / 32 Oz
Mevys Keratin treatment has a combination of seven different proteins consisting of collagen, silk amino acids, keratin protein, natural wheat, rice, and soy proteins. The keratin treatment restores the hair from the inside out, restoring even the most damaged hair.
INGREDIENTS OF KERATIN TREATMENT:
Silk: Rebuilds the hair fiber and leaves the hair healthy and shiny. It creates a layer on the strand preventing moisture from entering the hair, fighting frizz.
Wheat protein: A potent antioxidant that neutralizes free radicals. Keratin treatment creates a protective shield around the hair cuticle making it softer.
Rice protein: Helps the hair to recover and fills in the cracks that hair may have.
Soy protein: Ideal for nourishing hair. Keratin treatment contains biotin that produces keratin to make hair more manageable with it's dose of vitamin E, which cleans the scalp and improves the circulation.
Collagen: It returns essential properties to the hair and provides elasticity and body.
PROPERTIES OF THE KERATIN TREATMENT:
-Repairs damage.
-Nourishes hair.
-Gives the hair a protective shield against the inclemencies of the environment.
HOW TO USE KERATIN TREATMENT:
1. Wash hair with Mevys Clarifying Shampoo
2. Dry hair 100%
3. Apply in thin sections of ½ cm thick, dry, and iron.
4. Let stand for 30-60 minutes and rinse OR you can keep it for 72 hours and continue with step 5.
5. Use the Mevys Nourishing shampoo, comb, and enjoyment of silky, shiny, and manageable hair.
This system has been designed to be washed the same day. It can be used on all hair types.
The combination of protein, keratin, collagen, amino acids, and proteins in the Mevys system is exclusively for professional use.
Knowing your hair need's is a must when it comes to selecting and utilizing new beauty products. All hair types may benefit from the conditioner, but not all hair types have the same needs. To avoid saturation, use the following guide (do not apply on scalp, unless you have a low dry scalp):
Short Hair: Use a pea-sized amount. Emulsify in the hands first. Apply mainly to mid-lengths and ends. Avoid the scalp unless hair is chemically damaged. Leave on for 3–5 minutes.
- Why: Short hair has less surface area and less cumulative damage, so excessive product may coat the fiber unnecessarily. A small amount provides conditioning without flattening the hair’s natural volume or movement.
Fine Hair: Use a small amount (dime-sized). Apply strictly to mid-lengths and ends. Comb through with a wide-tooth comb to distribute evenly. Leave for 3–4 minutes.
- Why: Fine hair fibers have smaller diameters and lower structural mass, making them more prone to being weighed down by conditioning lipids and silicones. Controlled application maintains hydration and repair while preserving natural body and lift.
Medium Hair: Use a quarter-sized amount. Distribute evenly from mid-lengths to ends. Leave on for 5 minutes before rinsing.
- Why: Medium-density hair benefits from the mask’s balanced system of proteins, humectants, and lipids, which helps restore elasticity and improve surface smoothness without excessive heaviness.
Normal Hair: Apply moderate amount from mid-lengths to ends. Comb through to ensure even distribution. Leave for 5–7 minutes.
- Why: Normal hair typically requires maintenance conditioning rather than intensive reconstruction, so even distribution ensures the fiber receives balanced hydration and strengthening without overloading the structure.
Long Hair/Extra Long Hair: Divide hair into two or four sections. Apply mask from mid-lengths downward, concentrating heavily on the ends. Leave for 7–10 minutes.
- Why: Long hair experiences greater cumulative damage due to friction, environmental exposure, and repeated styling. The ends are typically more porous and require additional lipid and protein support to restore softness and prevent breakage.
Abundant (thick) Hair: Work in sections to ensure even saturation. Apply generously from mid-lengths to ends. Detangle with a wide-tooth comb. Leave for 8–10 minutes.
- Why: Thick hair has higher fiber density and larger cross-sectional area, meaning more product is needed to adequately coat and condition each strand. Sectioning ensures uniform penetration and optimal conditioning.
Who Should apply the intense repair mask occasionally?
The Intense Repair Mask is rich in conditioning agents, proteins, and smoothing silicones, so the following hair types should apply it carefully:
- Very Fine, Low-Density Hair
- Low Porosity Hair
- Hair That Is Completely Virgin and Healthy
- Multi-Protein Repair System: A blend of hydrolyzed proteins helps temporarily reinforce weakened areas of the hair fiber, improving cohesion and resilience. This multi-source protein system enhances the hair’s structural integrity and overall strength against mechanical stress.
- Porosity & Frizz Control:The formula works to reduce surface irregularities and align the cuticle, helping to minimize porosity and control frizz. By limiting uneven moisture absorption, it promotes smoother, more uniform hair behavior in humid conditions.
- Anti-Breakage Support: Conditioning agents and proteins improve fiber lubrication and cohesion, helping to reduce breakage caused by friction and styling stress. The result is hair that feels more flexible, manageable, and resistant to daily damage.
- Durable Results: Film-forming agents and silicones create a protective layer that helps maintain smoothness and shine over time. Using the proper care tools (such as the full Healthy Hair Optimization System), the treatment supports extended cosmetic performance across multiple washes.
